When you open the profile of someone who blocked you, X shows a notice saying you're blocked from following them or viewing their posts. That platform notice is the clearest signal available.
The three messages to recognise
- 'You're blocked' notice — the account blocked you.
- 'Account suspended' — X suspended the account; it's not a block.
- 'This account doesn't exist' — renamed, deactivated or deleted.
Weaker signs
Seeing fewer of their posts in your timeline is weak evidence — the algorithm, muting or protected posts all cause it. Muting is invisible to the muted person.
Is there a list of who blocked me?
No. X lets you list accounts you have blocked, but there is no feature or official API to list accounts that blocked you. Be cautious of tools that claim otherwise.
