  • Rule out technical issues
  • Use the guided checker

How it works

Most apps never tell you that you were blocked. What you see instead are indirect signs, and nearly every one of them has an innocent explanation too.

Before you start

  • Nothing — this tutorial needs no account.

Step by step

  1. Separate what you saw from what you assume

Write down exactly what changed: a missing photo, an undelivered message, a profile that will not open. Avoid writing "they blocked me" yet.

  2. Check for an explicit notice

Some platforms, such as X, show a direct message like "You're blocked". That is the platform speaking. Everything else is indirect.

  3. Consider deactivation and deletion

A deactivated or deleted account usually disappears for everyone, not just you. Ask a mutual contact, without pressuring them, whether they still see it.

  4. Consider privacy settings

People can hide their photo, last seen, stories or profile from some or all contacts at any time. That looks very similar to a block.

  5. Rule out technical issues

A weak connection, an outdated app, a phone that is switched off or a server outage can all delay messages and hide content.

  6. Use the guided checker

Pick the platform and select the signs you noticed. The result explains what they may mean and what they cannot prove.

Important

  • Do not create fake accounts or ask others to spy on someone's profile — it can break platform rules and the other person's trust.

Common mistakes and troubleshooting

Several signs appeared at once
Several signs together are more consistent with a block, but deletion or a new phone can cause the same pattern.

What this does not prove

  • None of these signs proves a block on its own. Only a notice shown by the platform itself is strong evidence.
  • Who Block Me cannot see anyone's private account data.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a tool that shows exactly who blocked me?

No honest tool can. The platforms do not share that information with outside services.
