Renamed or gone?
Old links and mentions point to the old username. If they renamed, search by their real name or look in your existing DM thread, where the new handle usually appears.
Restrict is not block
Restricted users can still message and comment, but the other person doesn't see it unless they approve. From your side, everything can look normal — or a little quiet.
